GUILDERLAND — The owner of David’s Unique Jewelers in Guilderland has been arrested on theft charges following complaints from customers about unfulfilled work, town police said.
David E. Sellie, of Guilderland, was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny.
Police said they received numerous complaints that Sellie was failing to return or compensate customers for jewelry on consignment and jewelry being repaired.
The owner of the business located at 2080 Western Ave. was arraigned before Guilderland Town Justice John Bailey and released. He is due back in court at a later date.
Police say an investigation into the business is ongoing.
